House price recovery - its official.

12th October, 2006. House prices have have staged an amazing recovery and it seems talk of a “mini boom” or blip seem to be unfounded.

Against many industry observers predictions, prices now seem to be rising at a faster pace than the peak of the last property boom.

According to figures from the Royal Institute of Chartered Accountants (RICS), a reliable source of house price data, London has enjoyed its biggest rise since January 2000.

They also said that their surveyors were at their most optimistic since March 2004.

The pressure is certainly mounting on the Bank Of England to increase interest rates next month. This month, they surprised many when they kept interest rates steady.
